Rowing the Schuylkill

Sun Apr 7, 2013 / Sandy Sorlien

As a photographer, I'm nervous about taking a camera into a tippy rowing shell, but fortunately I have a stable open-water shell perfect for this purpose.  Here are some images of the beautiful Schuylkill from Boathouse Row to Manayunk, shot over the stern of the shell.  This started as a fun diversion but later I took it more seriously, and took a better camera out with me. I think including the boat in the frame helps the viewer imagine being on the water. Click on the link to see the gallery.
